Love or hate? Gaga's hair-raising costume... - Fashion, news, Marie Claire

Right. Well we don't really know where to start with this one, but we want to know if you love or hate Lady Gaga's latest hair-raising look...

It's probably an understatement of the highest order to suggest that Lady Gaga isn't fearful with her fashion, but the singer excelled even herself this week.

As her sell-out Monster Ball tour hit Madison Square Gardens in New York, the lady stepped out on-stage in this bizarre hair-covered creation, with her face barely visible through a hole in the middle.

Love or hate? Gaga

We're not sure what the inspiration was behind this latest look - one MC staff member suggested that she looked a little like the Adams' Family's Cousin It, meets Sponge Bob Square Pants.

One thing's for sure, this girl doesn't do dull...

But what do you think? Do you love her latest hairy-square costume? Or do you think the Lady's finally gone Gaga? Let us know in the comments box below!

Just posting an article like this, without having seen the concert, or knowing whats going on at this point in the concert, is taking this outfit out of context. Its part of a story shes telling throughout the concert, and goes with the part of the story/song shes singing... its a costume.

she looks like one of them hairy dogs or a mop

Comment by joanna on July 09 19:33

totally agree with the last comment, gaga is one of a kind and a world class act .

LittleMonster you're so right! I was lucky enough to see her Monster Ball concert in Manchester last month and it was indeed part of her performance - part of the whole Monster Ball story. All of her costumes were amazing and individual and as for Gaga herself? Outstanding! This lady can truly sing/play the piano/connect with her audience (who all love her!) and make the whole performance a truly memorable and fantastic experience. BTW, the audience ranged from about 14-70 years and everyone loved her!

Ga Ga is highly over rated. Her music is mediocre at best and she's not done anything that Madonna hasn't done before and better in the late eighties, early nineties.

She does a very good impression of a jelly-fish/sea urchin.

Saw her wearing this outfit when I saw her in concert, was just another stage get-up, if she wore something ordinary, then we might be shocked. I think she's a great performer and we shouldn't be surprised to see her in anything outrageous by now.

lady gaga is my role model and she is unique no one can pull her styles other then herself

Comment by Mavie on July 10 21:42

Cousin IT you've got to love it, no?!
Comment by Sarah on July 10 22:28

Hate it...however, I am not inspired by any of her work, she is a very unoriginal recording artist, using flashy ridiculous outfits to get noticed.
Comment by Rachel on July 11 13:54

she got her inspiration from cousin IT of the Adams family
Comment by christine on July 11 19:37

'Can you tell me how to get, how to get to seasame street' immediately comes to mind!

Comment by ashling on July 12 11:13

Oh, she bores me to tears. Why can't she just SING?????!!!! The songs are good enough without all the pantomime that goes with it; wish she'd realise that and grow up a bit.Yawn.
Comment by Jacky Westoby on July 13 11:31

What a pity that so many of you are boring in your comments about her "lack of talent/Madonna-lookalike/pantomime/shocks on purpose" etc etc. In a world of dull, blend-into-one boy/girl bands and overnight make/forget them creations she's a refreshingly original artiste with a sense of performance and drama. Give her credit for being herself and giving us something to listen to and look at. The "pantomime" is part of her show - go along, see it, then criticise, don't just dismiss her out of hand.
Comment by Tracey on July 13 15:01

Thanks, Tracey, but actually I HAVE seen her,and the "pantomime" costumes still bore me to tears, as does all the drama that she likes to surround herself with. I enjoyed seeing her fall over in the airport because of her stupid boots recently though-now, that WAS entertaining!
