Bargain diamond website launches
By Jess Wood on Monday 28 June 2010
If you're in the market for a diamond engagement or wedding ring (or just a summer treat) check out our fabulous new discovery, Private Diamond Club.
A website run by a group of jewellers who've been in the trade since the 1970s, the diamonds are bought directly from the World Diamond Centre in Antwerp and set by jewellers on the spot.
This system cuts out the costs that hike up the prices of shop-bought pieces - commissions to diamond dealers, importers, wholesalers and retail jewellers - so savings can be up to 60% on usual retail prices.
The gems are all graded by one of three leading independent labs (the GIA, the IGI and the HRD) and come with a corresponding authenticity certificate.
As well as the pre-made pieces available on the site, you can also create your own jewellery - either choose your setting and select a loose diamond, or send the Club a drawing or photo to receive a quote.
We love this 0.45 ct princess cut 'Cytise' ring, 1,950. Better bookmark this site somewhere he can see it now...
