Who wore it best? Carey Vs. Diane

Take one stunning Calvin Klein dress, two achingly chic fashionistas - Carey Mulligan and Diane Kruger - and the result is today's fashion conundrum!
Getting in on the style act first, Ms Mulligan slipped into a dove grey version of the sheer design back for the CFDA Awards in June 2009.
With her signature crop then brunette, she added cream T-bar sandals, a box clutch and delicate drop earrings.
Onto Marie Claire's current cover girl, and the gorgeous Diane chose a red hot version of the dress for the Vanity Fair Oscar after-party.
Looking flawlessly fresh-faced, she wore her hair high in a neat chignon and accessorised with diamond stud earrings and metallic silver sandals.
So there you have it, but we need a style queen, dear readers: does Carey win the sartorial crown, or does Diane pip her to the post?

On first glance its pretty obvious... Although I actually quite like the taupe colour of Carey's dress, Diane Kruger wins it by a mile.
Carey's looks as though it could do with being hoisted up a bit.

I don't think it looks great as it is. A lining would've been so much better in the top of the dress as has been put in the skirt already and would have given a cleaner and smoother look.
Carey just looks embarassed in hers and too much like a little girl lost.

I'm sorry, but they both look like they thrown on a rag that you would only dust the TV with.
The only saving grace for Diane is that she poicked a colour that suited her at least!?

I agree that this is an ugly dress, ghastly unlined bodice and the material looks in need of a good ironing. It would do no-one any favours and shows that these two normally stylish women can make mistakes.
Fancy spending that sort of money to look that bad!!

Not a really attractive dress for either both have looked better-looks like a Linen dress packed too tight for you holidays -for the Oscars (even the after parties )both could look better

I absolutely hate this dress and would NEVER wear it! To me it just looks like a piece of your nans old polyester/nylon net curtain dyed then draped round anyhoo! Yuk! Very unflattering on anybody, and I should think its pretty uncomfortable to wear!
