Jaime Winstone and Claire Danes put their style on trial when they donned the very same floor-sweeping Alexander McQueen frock. But, who wore it best?

We're used to seeing stars don the same outfits within a mere matter of months, but believe it or not, these two Alexander McQueen gowns were given their red carpet outings an incredible six years apart.

Claire Danes was first to debut the British designer's dress, when she wore it to the Costume Institute gala way back in April 2004.

The blonde beauty teamed her nude-hued gown with a softly curled updo, delicate droplet earrings, fresh-faced make-up and a simple gold clutch.

Then, just this weekend, the gorgeous gown made its second high-profile appearance.

Understandably, there's been a lot of McQueen on the red carpet of late, so it was no surprise to see Jaime Winstone donning the frock to the BAFTAs on Sunday.

The starlet let the dress do all the talking, and simply teamed the elegant creation with a Marilyn Monroe 'do and a ruby red pout.

No contest. Definitely Claire. She looks much more elegant. I don't think Jaime's tall enough to carry it off.

Claire! Jamie's hair and make up is too contrived. Claire's natural beauty can carry the dress; she lets let the dress make the statement and yet it doesn't overpower her.

Claire does look a bit thin, but there's still no contest - she wears this dress much better. She looks like a Grecian goddess. Jamie's makeup and hair are too try-hard. Subtlety and elegance, not loud and brassy, were the key to carrying this dress off.

Does anyone else think Claire is just an ugly chick? I don't get her appeal...harsh face, no boobs and limp hair. Tell me what there is to like about her...please!
