Both Drew Barrymore and Helena Christensen paid tribute to the British designer when they stepped out in the same Alexander McQueen dress. But who wore it best?

With the sudden and sad news of Lee McQueen's tragic death last week, it comes as little surprise to see a sudden influx of his designs hitting the catwalk and red carpet.

However, Drew Barrymore was first to rock this striking frock, wearing it way back in October - to the Whip It film premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The actress teamed the black and yellow prom dress with black satin peep-toes, a pop of pink on her lips and off-the-wall two-tone hair colour. 

Then, fast forward several months, and Helena Christensen also donned the very same dress - as part of a moving tribute to the late designer, during the Fashion for Relief catwalk show in New York this weekend.

The super showcased a slightly shorter version of the dress, and teamed it with heavily-kohled eyes, simple black courts and sexy, tousled locks.

No contest - definitely Helena. I prefer the shorter length, more flattering. And what the hell did Drew do to her hair??? Awful!

Like both looks on two different women but what has Drew done to her face..she looks different and dont like the scrappy hair..not a good look.....
In fact..dont like the shoes on either women.

Defo Helena! stnning woman! U should put her on ur cover with that dress. Drew is pretty but her look is wierd.
