There have been no shortage of stars eager to squeeze into Hervé Léger's figure-hugging bandage dresses - from Katy Perry, to Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez and Diane Kruger - but today's style snap sees Geri Halliwell taking on supermodel Miranda Kerr for your fashion favour.

Getting in on the act first, Ms Kerr chose the red-hot number for a Victoria's Secret party back in December 2008.

Letting her dress do the talking, the fashionista eschewed accessories, adding merely leg-lengthening nude courts and an elegant gold bracelet.

A full year later, it was Ms Halliwell's turn to slip into the dress for a London charity event. Unlike her fashion rival, she chose a coral version  of the frock and went to town with the extras, not just adding a glittering diamond necklace and bejewelled peep-toes, but a full-length cream fur coat.

And while both chose to leave their locks loose and curly, Miranda went for natural waves, while Geri chose tight corkscrew ringlets for her moment in the spotlight.
