It was a real generation game when Taylor Momsen and Goldie Hawn stepped out in the same Christian Dior gown - but who do you think wore it best?

Taylor Momsen was first to step out in this tiered Dior dress, which she wore to the Golden Globes way back in January. 

Fast becoming our favourite Gossip Girl, Miss Momsen rocked up the frock as only she can, with an eye-grazing blunt fringe and chunky gold jewellery.

Despite being just 15 at the time, the starlet showcased her penchant for trend-setting by wearing the frock nearly an entire year before it was given its next red carpet outing. 

Goldie Hawn stepped out in the shimmering scaled design when she accompanied daughter Kate Hudson to the Nine premiere in New York last week.

Perhaps reflecting their 48-year age gap, Goldie opted for a more demure approach to her ensemble, teaming the gown with old-school Hollywood accessories of faux fur shrug, elbow length gloves and sparkling diamonds.

Definitely Taylor, it's too much with the wrap and the gloves on Goldie. A bit mutton dressed as lamb!

Goldie looks much more elegant and refined. Taylor can't compete, a 15 year old should be wearing something much younger and more fun!

Just goes to show a great dres, with different accessories can look great at any age. Totally different looks and both really good.

Its a good little dress looks ok on both...but agree about a younger look for a 15year old.

Taylor. No contest. Taylor may have been trying to bring back some of that flapper fun, but goldie looks like she lives in it.
