Dolce & Gabbana have a new housewife - none other than Madonna! 

The Material Girl takes on the role of the woman-at-home in the duo's spring/summer '10 ads, posing at a sink doing the washing up, eating with her fingers from a bowl of spaghetti and sitting at a kitchen table peeling hard-boiled eggs.

Naturally, all is done with a high dose of glamour, and while she might be doing the dishes, it is in a leopard print dress with lace skirt, her hair coiffed to perfection, and a blinging cross necklace dangling from her neck. 

For her pasta dinner, the superstar perches on a work surface, in a crochet knit frock, and for a spot of cooking she's in a romantic floral pencil skirt and plunging black blouse.  

As for why it took for long for Ms Ciccone to turn up in ads for the brand - she's been friends with the designers for years - the pair revealed they were scared to mix business with pleasure: 'We were always afraid it would ruin our relationship,' Stefano Gabbana told WWD.
