Victoria Beckham devastated as dresses stolen in knife-point raid
By Lucy Hutchings on Monday 7 December 2009
Victoria Beckham has been left devastated, after £350,000 worth of dresses from her eponymous fashion collection were stolen in a knife-point raid.
In what has been described as a carefully-planned attack, fifty to seventy-five spring/summer pieces were taken from a delivery van, where they were en route to New York department store, Neiman Marcus.
Two thieves followed the van, which started its journey at the star's management office in West London, and was headed for Heathrow.
When the driver stopped to make another delivery, he returned to the vehicle to find the padlocks smashed, and the two men burst from the back of the van with two huge boxes of dresses in tow.
The driver was left bruised and shaken, after the thieves forced him to the ground during the attack.
A source revealed to The Mirror: 'This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market.'
The former Spice Girl is reportedly hoping that the order can be remade in time to hit shop floors, but was left hugely upset by the robbery.
With an impressive A-list fan base - including the likes of Blake Lively, Elle Macpherson and Dannii Minogue - Posh's dresses have become incredibly covetable and the collection has cemented her status as a respected fashionista.

Who needs her dresses??? I wouldn't be surprised if later they find out that she planned this herself to get more attention to her collection...
It would make a sense if a collection of Versace, Gucci or Chloe dresses got stolen...but V. Beckham, com'n you must be joking!

Yeah agree with you angry! The first I thought when I read those dresses supposedly went missing was 'marketing initiative'. Who was notified first the press or the police? The reporting in my newspaper looked more like a Xmas product advertisement than a crime report.

She's devastated? Funny one that! Her husband was reported by the papers to have had exactly the same emotional reaction regarding his own grandfather's death. His 'devastation' manifested itself as permanently smug, rictus ear to ear grinning and smiling whilst he went from one self publicity opportunity to another.
