East London's Truman Brewery hosts Christmas pop-up store
By Jess Wood on Wednesday 2 December 2009
Having nightmares about battling through the crowds and queues in High Street Christmas Shopping Hell?
Fear not, East London's uber-cool Truman Brewery on Brick Lane (the venue for lots of hip happenings come Fashion Week) has come to the rescue.
From now till the 20th December, they're hosting a pop-up alternative 'department store' - called 'All I Want for Xmas.'
Featuring stalls by up-and-coming designers, you can snap up presents from one-off pieces of jewellery (like these earrings by Tanya Davidson, £49) to vintage tea pots.
All this is in addition to the Brewery's year-round regular markets - the Backyard Market, Sunday UpMarket and the fabulous Tea Rooms.
We'll be dropping in to the Late Night Shopping Thursdays, where the resident boutiques will be wooing Christmas shoppers with tasty treats and surprises.
Not a sock or a bath set in sight...
