Leighton Meeter Style Shock

Oh, how the style mighty have fallen! While for months we have been cooing over Leighton Meester's sartorial hit after hit, she undid all that good work last night with not one, but two fashion clangers.

Prompting gasps across the MC desk, the starlet raided the Eighties dressing up box for an appearance at a New York store opening, and got it oh-so-wrong.

Perhaps in an attempt to distance herself from her preened-and-proper Gossip Girl alter-ego, Meester chose printed leggings, a bandeau bra, open waistcoat and studded boots to perform her new single live at the event, and wore her hair piled high into a oversized bun.

And although she then made a swift costume change, things didn't improve. Maintaining the flesh-flashing antics, she opted for a thigh-skimming peek-a-boo leather dress and cage peep-toe heels.

As if the fashion alone wasn't bad enough, her make-up continued to offend. More akin to Robert Pattinson's Twilight demeanour, Meester looked ghostly, with a pale white complexion, blood red lips and smudged smokey eyes.

Well i will be fair. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of style. Lets face it normal ppl walk around like that everyday, so why are we so consumed with all the glitz and glamor of celebrity debutantes. Everyone judging the way she looked one night mistaking believes she or any other celebrity has to give a dam about their opinions. Cuz at the end of the day she's still gonna be a celebrity and were still gonna be nobodies. A voice is all but sometimes a voice is stil incomplete.

I'm assuming she doesn't have a stylist. Why did no one pull her aside and tell her how awful she looked?

The first outfit is like she's tried to make a statement with on trend items - the statement necklace, studded ankle boots, printed leggings - but got it so unbelivably wrong you wonder if she owns a mirror.

The second outfit is just tacky.

Obviously the left one was for the purpose of her performance, as for the right one..C'mon..it's not that bad. And if not everyone likes it -who cares? Isn't this the deal with everything in life? A matter of taste.
