Ever wished you could get more mileage out of the designer splurges languishing in your wardrobe? Well now you can.

New dress-hire website dresseduptothe9s.com works like a high-end dress exchange. Once you register, you can upload pics of your best designer pieces and put them on the site for other fashionistas to hire - just follow the pricing guidelines on the site.

Items are hired for a week at a time and must be returned to you fully dry-cleaned.

Of course, as a member you can also browse other people's high-end gems - for as little as £35 per week (including courier fees), you could be borrowing someone else's good-as-new Temperley dress or Herve Leger body-con frock for your office Christmas party.

Just like raiding your sister's wardrobe - only better...

I was very intrigued by this site as I find the idea great.

However, unfortunately there is not much on offer for dress sizes bigger than 10.....

Amazing idea.. cant wait to hire something.
Just need some more ladies uploading their dresses so there is a wider selection of sizes and dresses... My friends think this will be a hit.
