Has Kylie Minogue been taking inspiration from the Lady Gaga school of dressing?

Kicking off her first ever US tour last night in California, the petite popette showed of a sci-fi-esque ensemble, that was more than reminiscent of the Lady's signature on-stage styling.

A futuristic silver sculptural mirrored corset was created for the songstress by long-term collaborator John Paul Gaultier, and teamed with a solar system style headpiece and bejewelled cuffs, adorned with silver stars.

The For You, For Me tour is Kylie's first foray into Stateside gigs. The dates won't only see her in Gaultier creations, she'll also wear pieces by Dolce & Gabbana - another Minogue favourite.

i'm not a minogue fan but she was doing crazy outfit thing long before anyone have heard of Gaga

I agree with llady's comment. Kylie has been doing crazy stage costumes for a long time; however, she keeps the costumes for the stage/show whereas Lady Gaga wears crazy pieces all the time. Lady Gaga is a 24/7 show gal.

Kylie has been doing crazy and futurist stage costumes, if u remember the fever tour she was wearing an silver and cubic armor. She does not need to imitate no one.

As above - WHO ON EARTH SAID LADY GAGA HAD THE MONOPOLY ON WEIRD OUTFITS? Just because she's been undeservedly very successful lately in no way means that others who wear weird things are copying HER, least of all a very well established artist like Kylie, who's been producing far more respectable music for decades.

The Kylie outfit reminds me of the opening outfit Madonna wore in the Re-Invention Tour,even the arm bands,though this is total Kylie MInogue as I know her and I have seen her do looks like this before Lady G
