There are many ways in which you can compare Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole: both superstar WAGs with fashionista tendencies, they have plenty in common, including a shared taste in shoes it seems.

Both stylistas have snapped up Louis Vuitton's Cancan shoes, but added their own signature spin on the styling.

For Mrs B's LV moment back in June, this meant teaming her ankle-tie skyscrapers with a cream dirndl skirt, sheer tank and cropped navy cardi.

Always a fan of the high-impact accessories, it wasn't just about the shoes - she added one of her much-loved Hermes Birkin bags to the mix, plus the A-lists' new favourite adornment, a hairband. Trust Posh to tap a multitude of trends, all in one look.

Fast forward three months, and the Girls Aloud beauty slipped into her Cancans this week, for dinner at The Ivy.

Keeping things simpler, she paired her all-black statement heels with a zip-front minidress and minimal accessories. Back to brunette after a short stint as a redhead, she left that famous mane tumbling and loose, while her make-up was glowing and flawless as ever.

I love cheryl coles style she always looks amazing and is not so thin anymore.Shes always pleasant and got time for everyone even the photographers who all want to get her picture everywhere she goes.A very natural girl who never forgets her roots unlike posh who never smiles and is always miserable with her horrible voice and priviledge background and always so serious just watched her on american programme the view and her body language made me think she was nervous give me cheryl anytime

I think you have to ignore their heads and just look at the outfits. On the left is deliberately grown-up style and on the right, expensive but a bit slutty. Both excellent looks, and totally appropriate to each woman, when you put their heads back on.

Victoria Beckham is the only woman who can actually make Cheryl Cole not look skeletal. I'm not a fan of either outfit but I'd have to go for Cheryl purely because Victoria looks like a schoolgirl.

I prefer the white fastener as opose to the black, as it elongates the leg. Victoria's look definately due to the white breaking up the black
