As the days get shorter and greyer, we all need a bit of sparkle to cheer us up.

So hurrah for Gilda's Tryst, a hot new accessories treasure trove selling a deeply glamorous array of jewellery and bags.

Founders and best friends Shireen and Amanda have always loved dressing up and decided to bring their love of night-time sparkle to a wider audience with an opulent, jewel-box like store in London's Duke of York Square.

The dramatic baubles on offer include layers of pearls and ropes of semi-precious stones that can be draped or tied round the body.

The bags include divine Studio 54-style tasselled clutches and cool chain-handle patent leather totes.

Our personal faves are the Hematine Repentance necklace, £205, and the Bronze Piped Tryst Envelope clutch, £215

They have some amazing pieces - completely in love with their statement jewellery and always get stopped when wearing a necklace that I bought from there. It's really like an Aladdins treasure cave except more fabulous!
