Sarah Jessica Parker, New York Fashion Week S/S 2010

It's here! New York Fashion Week kicked off in trend-setting style last night with a series of parties across the Big Apple for Fashion's Night Out.

A-listers from Sarah Jessica Parker to Kate Hudson, rihanna.html">rihanna, the Olsen twins and Sienna Miller all put in an appearances at celebrations throughout the Big Apple, at a slew of style-packed festivities.

Over at Stella McCartney, the lovely Ms Hudson was spotted working the jumpsuit trend, while Sienna and sister Savannah were snapped looking effortlessly stylish at the Intermix party.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen served cocktails at leading fashion store Bergdorf Goodman, while on the designer floor, Victoria Beckham hawked her designer dresses.

Taking the night's fashion-over-function award, rihanna.html">rihanna rocked a pair of sunglasses that looked as if they had been made from tiny egg boxes, teamed with scary spikey hooped earrings and a super-short mini.

Luckily, Charlize Theron dazzled in silver over at Dior, while NY fashion darling, SJP, teamed a full magenta skirt with a printed tee at Oscar de la Renta.

The evening also saw stars getting into entertainment mode - Oscar de la Renta performed a duet with Bette Midler in his eponymous store, Donna Karan was beaten in a fashion trivia quiz at Bergdorf Goodman, and Lindsay Lohan walked off with a leather jacket from Ungaro.

Well, she is their 'artistic advisor' now...
