Gwyneth Paltrow's penchant for thigh-skimming minidresses shows no sign of waning, with the actress stepping out in Preen's teeny-tiny bodycon number for a charity event in New York last night.

Showing off those picture-perfect pins, the mum-of-two looked tanned and toned in her minuscule panelled frock, from the British design duo's autumn/winter '09 collection.

Adding a fashion-forward touch, the ever-chic starlet teamed her high-impact frock with a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti's Vicini ankle boots, and let her dress do all the talking, eschewing the usual A-list smattering of gems.

Gorgeous and glowing, rose pink glossy lips, a radiant complexion and soft eye make-up were the perfect finishing touches.

That dress does nothing for her. The sparkly panels draw your eye horizontally and make her look wider than she is. A lesson in what not to wear.
