Alexa Chung's NY down-time chic

She may have ditched London for the Big Apple, but we're pleased to see that Alex Chung has remained true to the cool Britiannia effortless style we've come to love.

Stepping out on the streets of NY's Soho over the weekend, the fashionista looked uber-cute in her off-duty ensemble of cut-off denim dungaree dress, white shirt and granny-style block heel patent pumps.

Clearly unaffected by the preened-to-perfection presentation New Yorker's are famed for, the TV style icon was shabby-chic as ever, with her locks messily piled on her head and bare-faced beautiful with minimal make-up.

On the arm of her Arctic Monkey beau Alex Turner, the couple spent the weekend with his visting parents, showing them the sights and sounds of their new home town.

The group enjoyed lunch at Cage Gitane, before wandering the local shops, and then jumping on the subway home.
