Topshop to launch recycled clothing label

By Eleanor Young  on Wednesday 22 July 2009

Yes, you heard it here first; recycled clothing label My Only One  is set to launch at Topshop’s flagship Oxford Street store.

Inspired by the need to reuse and recycle old textiles, My Only One has recruited a team of up-and-coming young designers to recycle and redesign old clothing.

Using their creative genius, the designers have been hard at work transforming unusable or unloved vintage pieces into fashion fabulous garments.

Available this summer, the first collection is Sport Nouveau, a stylish take on traditional sportswear. The talented design team has transformed oversized, 70s sports shirts into tennis skirts and dresses into jumpsuits, as well as coming up with a host of other re-worked lovelies.

Eco-chic has never looked better.
