Amanda Wakeley to return to London Fashion Week

The ante-upping of September's London Fashion Week continues apace with the announcement of yet another returning name to the schedule - red-carpet favourite Amanda Wakeley.

Her company's had more ups and downs than Naomi Campbell in Vivienne Westwood platforms. Having sold her brand last December, she managed to buy it back in April of this year - meaning she owns her own label for the first time in over a decade and paving the way for her triumphant catwalk return.

'I am delighted to return to the London Fashion Week schedule in September, especially during such an important season,' she says.

The glossy blonde powerhouse made her name with clothes designed pretty much for her own jetset lifestyle - red-carpet worthy satin slip dresses, sumptuous cashmere (just perfect for chilly nights in Capri) and impeccably-cut tailoring.

Now we know there won't be a shortage of glamour on the runways come September...
