It could be considered that Victoria Beckham has an unfair advantage in today's who wore it best: not only did she wear the dress in question, she designed it too!

Proving a hit not only with the fashion press, the A-list has been loving Mrs B's dress collection, meaning it's not just Posh rocking her own designs, but stars like Elle Macpherson too.

The Aussie supermodel stole the show at the launch party of her new TV programme, The Beautiful Life, last month in LA, in Posh's spring '09 figure-hugging black bandeau.

With her honey-hued, tousled locks, enviable age-defying figure and elegant peep-toes, the fashionista raced to the top of the style charts in her picture-perfect LBD.

But naturally, she wasn't the first to be spotted in the statement frock.

VB gave the design its debut back in September 2008 at the Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week show. Using the occasion to show off her new pixie cut, the stylista sparked a flashbulb frenzy, working her LBD with black courts, a blinging bangle, and of course, that patented Posh pout.

Posh always has an air of desperation about her when in front of the camera but I do prefer her look in this dress. It's slightly longer length on her and and the choice of shoes top it off better for me than E.M. Also that pixie haircut that only a handful of women can carry off without looking older tops it off for me.

Posh looks awful and far to skinny and Ellie shows off the dress much better with her curves and "un skinny" look.
she is a terrible role model to her kids and young fans and needs to fatten up a bit.

WOW!! Victoria Beckham dresses are SO flattering on everyone but I think Victoria really pulled this dress off the best by pairing it with her chunky bangle. I can't wait for her Fall collection to hit stores!!!!

i much prefer elle. she looks beautiful and healthy. her smile is genuine and her hair is lovely. i also prefer her shoes. posh (why is she called that, she doesnt look poshy to me!!) looks too skinny, colourless and down in the dumps.

Elle wins this one hands down - she actually has some curves to show off in the dress and looks healthy and happy. Posh looks far too bony, and I'm so sick of that damn pout!!

I agree with some comments above, VB as always terribly desperate looking. Elle looks great, very natural and confident. However, dress itself is nice on both.

Posh looks good until you look at her too-thin arms and her bones sticking out - not attrative!! Elle is slim but doesn't look like she starves herself - a much healthier look so she gets my vote

Defenitely Victoria Beckham is amazing in this dress and in anything she puts on. She a very sexy elegant woman. She is my idol.

I think Elle wins. Posh just looks like she can't be bothered or tries too hard and she doesn't look happy (flexing those bones). Elle has a natural smile/pose and don't forget is a supermodel 'the body'. Posh is only who she is because of David and it just doesn't work. She oozes 'out of my depth'.
