Star style at the Cannes Film Festival

It was all about style déjà vu at the Cannes premiere of Looking for Eric last night.

The A-list were out in force for the documentary screening, which follows former footballer Eric Cantona. But we couldn't help feeling like we'd seen it all before.

First up, Lost actress Evangeline Lilly arrived in a flowing Valentino azure blue gown. So far, so stylish, but the gown was a varying version of one of our favourite Cannes 2009 looks to date - Rachel Weisz's Agora premiere dress.

The Brit actress's Valentino gown may have been strapless and emerald green, but it featured the same dip-dye hemline and thigh-flashing split.

Meanwhile, models Eva Herzigova and Doutzen Kroes continued the re-run trend.

Both fashionistas donned dresses that have recently graced the red carpet. Herzigova glittered in an Atelier Versace spring '09 gown, first worn just last week by the designer herself, Donatella Versace, at the White House Gala Dinner, while Kroes wore the same Azzedine Alaia full-skirted grey dress which Zoe Saldana chose for the London premiere of Star Trek.

And so it was left to Hilary Swank to bring a touch of originality. The Oscar-winner brought some serious drama to proceedings, in a gunmetal grey cascading gown.

Yet another addition to Cannes' ever-growing list of high-octane style statements - think Eva Longoria and Abbie Cornish – Swank was certainly eye-catching, but despite her déjà vu dress, it was Herzigova who rules today's best dressed list.
