Monica Bellucci and Sophie Marceau's sizzling scarlet style

Arriving at a film premiere in a matching dress to your co-star would be most actresses' ultimate style nightmare, but not Monica Bellucci and Sophie Marceau.

The European beauties stepped out for a screening of new movie, Ne Te Reourne Pas, at the Cannes Film Festival in almost identical sizzling scarlet gowns, and treated the style coincidence as the perfect opportunity for a red-hot photo op.

Cosying up on the red carpet, the actresses sparked a flashbulb frenzy, as they put on an affectionate display for the cameras, hugging and walking hand-in-hand along the red carpet.

Their dresses, though very similar, did have key differences.

Bellucci's off-the-shoulder Christian Dior silk number betrayed her über sex appeal, with its fabulous figure-hugging cut, while Marceau's YSL Edition Soir gown featured gathered detailing and a straight column shape.
