Jessica Alba works politico chic

Mixing style and business is one of fashion's trickiest dilemmas, but Jessica Alba showed exactly how it should be done yesterday, as she turned politico in Washington.
 
Meeting with Senators on Capitol Hill, and the ever-glam actress smartened up, in a pair of wide-leg trousers, a crisp white shirt and a little black jacket.

Betraying her star status, she added a seriously high-end accessory – a Chanel quilted chain bag.  

We love Alba's easy to emulate workwear chic, which combines elegance with an appropriate level of smart style.

The actress was in Washington for a screening Crips and Bloods: Made in America, a film co-produced by her husband Cash Warren. She attended a question and answer session on issues surrounding gang violence in America, the subject of the flick.
