Victoria Beckham for Armani

Victoria Beckham is back for a sizzling second season as the face of Armani underwear.

The first shot, taken by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, was unveiled by Mrs Beckham herself yesterday at Macy's in New York, sparking a frenzy amongst eager fans desperate to catch a glimpse of the style icon.

As for the shots, and Mrs B is looking toned, taut and better than ever, wearing nothing but lacy knickers and a matching cleavage-boosting balcony bra.

In place of her trademark crop is a plaited high ponytail. One thing is pure Posh though – that signature smouldering pout.

Commenting on the shoot to WWD, Mrs B revealed, 'Mert and Marcus are such amazing photographers, and we pushed it a little with this picture.

'We really experimented with different hair and different makeup, which is what I like to do. I really like to change it up.'

And don't think this is the last we'll see of Posh in her pants.

The fashionista has been snapped up to model the skimpy lingerie until 2012. The lucrative campaign, along with husband David's deal to front the men's underwear line, is thought to be worth a massive £32 million in total for the couple.

I just think she looks way too skinny for modelling underwear. It's the sort of picture I can see people with eating disorders adding to their thinspiration album- in other words- not good.

The undies look nice but she looks gaunt... a bit too boney for my taste! It's a pity that she thinks super skinny is the only way to look good.

Is it just me or does her torso look hideously stretched?????? Her ribs are all over the place!!!! Surely people don't actually believe she hasn't been airbrushed to look completely different!!!!!

I wouldn't trust her 'toned body' much as most of pictures are airbrushed in ad campaigns...I'm sure it looks very different in a real life (after 3 kids!). With regard to this particular picture I can't see 'a model' there as Mrs. B can't even pose properly! Look at her arm..it seems amputated! The kind of mistake that only young inexperienced models would do on their first shoot....

How do we know that is even the REAL Mrs B's body?
We know that photos and touched up beyond recognition and that Mrs B has spray tans which enhance and tone your body!
I'm sceptical.......as should the rest of you be!

I think she looks great - not too skinny - the only reason you can see her ribs is because of the contorted position the photographer has her posing!

I think it is a very striking photograph. Unfortunately with all of the airbrushing that goes on it is hard to tell if any of it is actually real.

However I'd love to to have abs that look like that, so I'm not about to criticise her or the picture

I wish people wouldn't be so rude about thin physiques - you wouldn't make such comments about chubby people. And yes, she's thin, but not extremely. Trust me, I should know. She'd look better for a bit more muscle mass, and a totally different hairstyle.

I would love to look like that! and not be lumpy and unhappy with my rolling over my waist band tummy. I feel inspired to get to the gym again tonight and not drink that glass of wine. Every little helps, I know I won't be a size '0', Hey ho.... can see the benefit to being healthier and if a stunning photograph like this inspires wether genuine or not we just have to keep it in perspective, no harm, no foul.

I look better with underwear on too!....

i just think she is so thin it is not attractive, she is not a good role model for women and I don't think men find her attractive either!

This picture has either been airbrushed or posh has has a tummy tuck.It wasnt that long ago she was hiding her stomach because she said it was all crepey due to her babies!!

I think Armani have chosen the right person to model their lingerie - she looks fabulous! Their entire campaign so far would encourage me to look at their range...and when all said and done, that's the name of the marketing game, isn't it? I'm looking forward to seeing the next product and how they will present it.

Photoshop is a magic. Everyone who thinks she looks like this-wake up in real world girls. You can look exactly the same after photoshop. Really.Plus-obsession with this lady is amazing....
