Stars do political chic
By Lucy Hutchings on Wednesday 22 April 2009
Sarah Brown swapped Gordon for a far more fashionable date last night – supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Attending the First Ladies of Africa Health Summit in LA, the British PM's wife joined the fifteen First Ladies from African nations to discuss health, education, women's issues and Aids in Africa.
To conclude the summit, she attended a star-studded dinner, to raise the profile for various African charitable projects, with a little help from some of Hollywood's most stylish faces.
It was here that she teamed up with Ms Campbell, but the model wasn't the only star getting in on the political action.
Always on the hunt for a new BFF, Paris Hilton made fast friends with Cameroon's First Lady, Chantal Biya. Used to being the centre of attention, the socialite faced some fierce competition from Mrs Biya's gravity defying bouffant, but that didn't stop her cosying for cameras.
Could this be the start of Paris the politico? Somehow we think not.
Other stars out to help the cause included Sex and the City's Kristin Davis, Jessica Alba and Lost actress, Maggie Grace.

Perhaps taking a leaf from the Michelle Obama school of political dressing, the stylish trio oozed sophistication, in chic monochrome ensembles.
