Dannii and Elle wow at marie claire awards

Australian marie claire celebrated the Oz leg of the Prix d'Excellence awards last night, with a little help from two of the country's most celebrated style icons.

Dannii Minogue and Elle Macpherson ensured the evening got a high dose of celebrity glamour, wowing on the red carpet, while making very different fashion statements.

Showing off a new shorter 'do, Dannii worked the futuristic look, in a black structured J’Aton Couture gown, which gave a distinct nod to the season's bold shoulder trend.

Looking seriously loved-up, the X-Factor judge walked the red carpet with rugby player beau Kris Smith.

As for Elle, and though she may be known as 'the body,' she kept it all covered up last night, with a billowing Gucci floor-length kaftan gown.

Her curves may have been hidden, but the supermodel still wowed with picture-perfect tumbling curls, and radiant make-up. The phrase age-defying instantly springs to mind.
