Three people were arrested and six injured this weekend, as chaos erupted at auditions for America's Next Top Model.

More than 10,000 women congregated on the streets of Manhattan on Saturday, to audition for the new season of the reality TV show, with many camping out overnight.

Tension was already rife in the growing crowd, when a car overheated and blew smoke prompting one woman to call out 'There's a bomb!'

At this point pandemonium broke loose as the thousands of wannabe models surged, and fights broke out amongst the angry crowd.

Six women were left injured and in need of medical attention, and two women and a man were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and inciting a riot charges.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, Jennifer Brown, 27, a Brooklyn resident, said, 'The girls were running like it was 9/11 part two. I feared for my life.'

Kiara McCarthy, 19, added, 'All of a sudden, we heard this roar from behind us and there was a wave of people falling on top of us.'

The auditions were quickly cancelled to disperse the uncontrollable crowd.
