Madonna & Jesus play dress-up

She's known for her age-defy ensembles but, last night, Madonna took her youthful style to a whole new level, dressing up as a sexy schoolgirl.

Looking more akin to her 13-year-old daughter than her milestone 50 years, the Material Girl donned a dark wig, miniskirt, waistcoat and tie, with fishnets and a pair of Converse trainers, for a fancy dress party to celebrate the Jewish celebration of Purim at the Kabbalah centre in New York.

And like Lourdes' signature look, the ensemble has a distinct Eighties vibe – note the yellow smily face ring and stripy arm warmers - a look that Madonna made her own when she first hit the music scene. Talk about style going round in circles!

She was joined by toyboy Jesus Luz, who took the costume theme just as seriously, arriving as The Joker, complete with green wig, pinstripe suit and full make-up. The 22-year-old arrived accompanying Jessica Seinfeld, wife of comedian Jerry, dressed as Cleopatra.
