Stella launches Net-a-Porter collection

Stella McCartney has a treat in store for Net-a-Porter customers this summer.

Adding yet another exclusive to the online fashion haven's burgeoning list of designer collaborations, McCartney has created a summer capsule collection, which will only be sold online at the e-tailer.

Catering to the designer's legions of adoring fans, the 17-look collection will feature all the signature Stella touches, such as a tailored trouser suit, classic trench, jeans and organic cotton tees, and will include two shoe and bag styles.

Speaking to WWD, McCartney commented, 'This collection is a Stella 'best-of.'  It's got everything you need.'

Natalie Massenet, chairman and founder of Net-a-Porter added, 'We wanted to do something special for her customers and really celebrate what (McCartney's) designs are about. One of the things we really love about the Stella McCartney collections is that the pieces she designs are for a woman who is looking to build a wardrobe.'

This is not the first time that Net-a-Porter has teamed up with a designer to create exclusives for its customers.

Last year, it made an industry first, by selling two pieces from  the Halston collection, on the same day as its catwalk show, while it also has nabbed exclusive first sales for pieces from Roland Mouret and Alexander McQueen.

The unique collection will be available to buy from May.
