Posh wins rave reviews
By Lucy Hutchings on Thursday 19 February 2009
Defying her critics yet again, Victoria Beckham has won rave reviews from the world's fashion editors for her second collection of designer dresses.
Expanding the range from its initial collection of just 12 dresses, this season VB has 23 styles, which include capes, full-length gowns and minidresses.
And the initial reports have been glowing.
At the Telegraph, Hilary Alexander raved about the fashionista's commitment to the range. 'She has a personal relationship with each one which almost amounts to a love affair,' Alexander described. 'She knows every stitch, every seam; the construction of the fabric and the inner secrets.'
The International Herald Tribune was also full of praise, noting: 'Beckham has succeeded in creating a collection in her own image with playful gestures and with a sense that, unlike most celebrity lines, she would be proud and pleased to wear every piece herself.'

As for WWD, and the fashion daily was predicting big things in fashion for the former Spice Girl.
'Though too early to tell — a mere two collections into her second career — judging from the controlled line-up she showed on Sunday, it seems that (Beckham) may indeed be no lightweight. (Figuratively, that is. Formerly Posh is still a slip of a girl.)'

On her emerging fan base, Posh revealed the favourite of her A-list fans to WWD. 'Madonna — you can’t do better than that!' she joked, referring to the Material Girl's infamous W shoot, where she cavorts with her near-naked toyboy while wearing VB's elegant frocks.
