Kate Winslet's 8-year-old stylist

She's scored a string of style hits already this award season, so what's Kate Winslet's fashion secret?

Well, rather than seek the advice of high-priced stylists and designers, the Oscar-nominated actress has revealed that her biggest critic is slightly closer to home: her eight-year-old daughter, Mia Honey.

Speaking on US chat show The View, the Oscar-nominated actress revealed that Mia is 'a little bit of a fashionista'.

She went on to confess that she had sought fashion advice from her in-house stylista, explaining, 'In fact, just last night she said to me: "Mum, just a personal question. Why do you wear so much black?"'

Winslet has had something of a style black-out of late, choosing LBDs for the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and premieres for both Revolutionary Road and The Reader. 

As for what colours she should choose, and Mia had the following advice, 'I said to her what colour do you think I should wear? And she said, "Pink, no not pink. Anyone over the age of 10 shouldn't wear pink!"'

Who needs a stylist, when you have a fashion-savvy eight-year-old to hand!
