Start London launches fashion competition

Aspiring  fashion designers, take note!

Ever wanted to see your designs amongst the likes of Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Mulberry? Well Shoreditch fashion haven, Start London is offering two talented fashion designers this amazing opportunity.

Teaming up with Fashion156.com, the East London boutique has launched a competition to find the hottest new design talent, the two winners of which will see their designs sold on the designer-packed rails at Start.

Open to students, graduates and new labels, designers are asked to send in outfit ideas for spring/summer '09, in the form of sketches or photographs.

Ten finalists will then be picked from the entries, and invited to create a garment, which will then feature on fashion156.com and Start London's online boutique, giving readers the chance to vote for their favourites,

The final decision will be made by Start co-owners, Brix Smith-Start and Philip Start and Guy Hipwell, editor of fashion156.com.

As for the criteria, and they are looking for 'designers that will blow us away with creative, inspiring ideas for both mens and womenswear.'

The closing date is 31st January, so get sketching now for a chance to win this amazing opportunity.
