Aguilera to design for Topshop?
Christina Aguilera may be the latest celebrity to get her own high street fashion range, after reports she is in talks to design a collection for Topshop.
After the runaway success of Kate Moss's design creations for the brand, high street giant and Arcadia owner, Sir Philip Green, has asked new mum Aguilera to get on board and design her own range.
One source told The Mirror: 'Sir Philip has started talks with Christina and hopes to sign a deal soon. She has visited his offices in London and they are thrashing out the details.'
The offer could be too tempting to pass up for Aguilera, who may pocket a potential £1million per range for the fashion emporium and would see the style chameleon compete directly with Britain's favourite fashion icon, Moss.
'Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to Topshop. Christina is the blonde bombshell who is into pop whereas Kate is the rock chick and model,' the source revealed to The Mirror.
'She’d appeal to a younger shopper than Kate.'
So, what can we expect from the proposed range? Let's hope Christina's leather chaps have been firmly relegated to the back of her closet, we really can't see those taking off…or can we?
