Famous faces descend on Alberta Ferretti's new store

Alberta Ferretti called on famous friends and fans last night, to help celebrate the launch of her new flagship store opening on Melrose in Los Angeles.

With many wearing Ferretti's ethereal designs, it was a suitably stylish occasion, although one colour really ruled the evening.

Lucy Liu, Ali Larter, Amy Smart, Marisa Tomei and Emmy Rossum all sported varying shades of blue, giving the evening an aqua hue.

Choosing very different styles, the always-chic Liu was our personal favourite, with a silk shift dress, although Rossum's stunning one-shoulder number in a beautiful shade of cornflower comes a close second.

For those not in the blue, then beading and sequins proved another firm favourite. The designer herself wore an embellished tunic, while January Jones went for full-on sparkle in a glimmering shift dress.

Meanwhile, new parents Nicole Richie and Joel Madden enjoyed a night away from baby Harlow, but motherhood is clearly suiting Richie. She looked positively radiant in a silk oyster slip dress.
