Daisy Lowe new Marc Jacobs face

Daisy Lowe is going up in the fashion world. The Brit model has featured in a number of advertising campaigns on this side of the Atlantic, but has now really hit the big time, signing up to be the face of Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Following in the footsteps of Jacobs' celebrity muses, Victoria Beckham, Sofia Coppola and Meg White, Lowe will be photographed by Juergen Teller for the spring/summer '09 campaign.

Commenting on his choice of model, the designer told WWD, 'I think she looks adorable.'

This will be Lowe's biggest campaign to date, and her first international designer name. It follow a successful year for the model, who has secured contracts with Converse, Diesel, Karen Millen and Agent Provovcateur in the last 12 months alone.

Eschewing celebrities again this season, Jacobs has cast another model, Raquel Zimmerman, for his mainline womenswear ads, and photographer Ryan McGinley for menswear.
