Beyoncé spends thousands in Topshop shopping spree

Beyoncé Knowles stopped by London's favourite shopping haven Topshop Oxford Circus on Saturday, and splashed thousands and thousands of pounds on high street wares.

Arriving at 6.30pm, straight from filming an appearance for Strictly Come Dancing, the star then proceeded to spend almost six hours in store, not leaving until way past midnight.

Still wearing her show outfit, which consisted of a black minidress and super-high monochrome heels, she enjoyed a lap of the shop, while followed by a camera crew, before retreating to the VIP area where she remained for the duration of her trip.

Here she relaxed with her crew and band, and was joined by her mother, Tina, sister, Solange, and former bandmate Kelly Rowland for an evening of spending.

Racking up a bill that went into the thousands - our Topshop insider reveals it took two hours just to put everything through the till - she stocked up on everything from dresses to net skirts and leather jackets.

Clearly experimenting with a new look, as she exhibited with her choice of Gareth Pugh at the MTV Europe Music Awards, the singer expressed an interest in androgynous pieces and splashed the cash on the store's Boutique range and designer collaborations, buying the entire Ashish collection.

Could this be an end to the singer's glamour-puss style? Previously a fan of full-length frocks and all things sparkly, she chose edgier pieces, for a harder, more fashion-conscious look.

It was a star-studded weekend at the high street haven. Naomi Campbell, Jade Jagger, Erin O'Connor all stopped by to browse the rails.
