Ethical fashion website re-launched today
By Suzannah Ramsdale on Wednesday 5 November 2008
Guilt-free shopping just got easier with the re-launch of ethical fashion website Adili.com.
The eco-conscious creators unveiled their vamped-up new look site today, which is jam-packed with organic, Fairtrade and recycled clothes and accessories.
CEO of Adili.com explained the idea behind the site, 'We want to make a difference to people’s lives. Instead of fast fashion we passionately believe in treasured pieces that are made with real consideration and care.'
'For us it’s all about looking good without feeling bad,' he added.
Here at marieclaire.co.uk we are firm believers of long-lasting, timeless pieces, and have picked out our favourite items from the new online store.
The Sika mini shirt dress, £100, is a stand-out offering from Adili.com. The bold prints and warm earthy tones channel tribal chic, which, if the Spring/Summer 2009 fashion shows were anything to go by, is going to be huge.
Eco style gets a full-blown injection of glamour this season with the Hazel shoe, £156. The Mary Jane heels, complete with vibrant scarlet strap, will get everyone talking this winter, but the best part is they are totally organic and vegan friendly.
We know it can be tricky getting your hands on a truly original cardigan, and this is where the Fair Isle Yoke necked cardi, £77, comes in. The ethnic-inspired Aztec prints make this chunky knitwear with a twist. Most importantly, the woollies are made in Nepal, by a group who provide education to under-privileged Nepalese.
