How to get into ...

Knit your own celebrity

Marie Claire Fashion: Celebrity Knitting

Do you remember when knitting was the latest celebrity craze? Well, now you can have the chance to knit your own celebrity.

Playstation has joined forces with the Shoreditch Sisterhood Women’s Institute to produce a series of limited edition celebrity knitting patterns: Amy Winehouse, Kate Moss, Madonna, Beth Ditto and The Queen are all available to stitch up.

The patterns come complete with all the accessories you’ll need to create the famous icons: a mini beehive for Amy Winehouse no less, skimpy hot pants for Madonna and a crown for The Queen.

In the current climate, what better way to save your pennies than staying in and jumping on the stitch and bitch bandwagon? Plus, they’ll make cheap, yet oh-so-cute Christmas presents!

The celebrity knitting patterns are variations of the adorable SackBoy and SackGirl characters from the new Playstation game, LittleBigPlanet, which is released on 5 November.

If you fancy getting creative and doing something a bit different this weekend, head down to the Playstation workshop in London this Sunday. There'll be live entertainment, music, arts and crafts and above all, it’s free.

Click here for more information about the workshop.

Keep your eye on the LittleBigPlanet website for more details on the celebrity knitting patterns.
