For a little New York uptown style, girls in the know can't get enough of Milly by Michelle Smith – a fabulous American label that's made a big impression both sides of the Atlantic since its launch in 2000.

Worn by celebrities including Thandie Newton, Mischa Barton and Anne Hathaway, this month the label comes to the UK with its first standalone boutique in Harrods.

We love the 19th-century-Parisian salon-meets-Upper-East-Side-apartment feel of the store, which was inspired by designer Michelle's time working for Hermes and Christian Dior.
