Latex is the new black, don't ya know. Well, if you're Britney Spears it is.

The singer rocks a latex vest in the video to her new single, Womanizer, and has prompted a rush on the 'fashion' basic in the States.

Designed by Jeffrey Gent and created by Syren, the top is priced at $199 and is selling like the proverbial hot cakes since making its MTV debut.

'The nice thing about latex is you can manipulate your body under it,' says the designer. 'Women like it because [it's] like a Miracle Bra. Depending on how tight it is, you can also draw your waist in.'
