Fashion Fringe announces its winner

Donatella Versace today announced Eun Jeong Hong as the winner of UK design competition, Fashion Fringe.



Describing the decision as a close race, Versace presented the award to a tearful Jeong Hong, for her label Go by a Secret Path. The announcement was preceded by a catwalk show, which saw the four finalists present their collections to the fashion pack.



As well as the style-studded judging panel, which included designer Roland Mouret, a selection of fashion-forward stars arrived to watch the show, including Emma Watson, Alexa Chung, Emma Watson and Dita Von Teese.



The annual event provides one new designer a year with £100,000 of funding, to allow them to show a collection at London Fashion Week.



The competition has helped launch a host of celebrated British fashion talent, including previous winners Aminaka Wilmont, Gavin Douglas, Erdem, and Basso & Brooke. Runners up also include Sinha-Stanic and Modernist, both now regulars on the London Fashion Week schedule.
