Erin O'Connor auctions off her wardrobe

Erin O'Connor is to auction off her designer wardrobe at Christie's, all in the name of charity.
 
With one of the lots up for grabs rather tantalisingly described as 'Personal gifts from Karl Lagerfeld,' we can only dream of what goodies might await successful bidders. 

Proceeds from the ultra-glamorous wardrobe clear-out will be split between the British Fashion Council, which helps up and coming British designers and O'Connor's own Model Sanctuary project.

As she tells the Guardian: 'It's like recycling, selling old clothes to help make new ones.'

O'Connor established the sanctuary as a place for models to rest, eat healthily and, if requested, see specialist counsellors as an escape from the much reported pressures of the modelling industry.

When asked if she worried that Mr Lagerfeld might take offence to her recycling his tokens of appreciation, O'Connor replied: 'I'm sure he won't mind. After all it's for young designers and a good cause.'
