Alexa Chung to front new fashion show

Marie Claire News: Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung is fast becoming the face of fashion TV, with the announcement that she is to front a new style show for Channel 4.

The stylish presenter will team up with House of Holland designer Henry Holland for the new programme, Frock Me, which will focus on fashion and music.

It will see a style spotter traveling around the UK each week, challenging members of the public to create looks based on specific themes. The various emsembles will then be judged in an in-studio 'frock off.'

The show will air on T4 this October, and is the first time that the weekend segment has commissioned a purely fashion based programme. T4 head Jules Oldroyd explained, 'Our aspiration is that each week we will celebrate the whole spectrum of fashion and inspire our audience to have more fun with what they wear.'

With Chung as famed for her style credentials as for her TV work, the show is set to be a suitably chic affair.

Why? I am sorry but she sucks - she was terrible on that GOK show - just after free frocks. Sorry but it makes me want to turn off!

Hey guys,
I really thought I was going to hate it, but I actually thought it was good, and I appreciate Alexa Chung's humour and style. What was the name of the band playing on the show today, I want to download that song and I can't remember the name of the song or the band! My boyfriend would know but obviously didn't watch it! It's really annoying me!

Show is great & loving Henry Holland but unfortunately I'm not feeling the same towards Alexa Chung... I don't think she's a very good presenter & is lacking in personality - her voice is just so flat! I reckon the show would have been a LOT better with someone like Fearne Cotton - bubbly & fun!
