SJP and Anna Wintour host Obama fundraiser
Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour have joined forces to co-host a fundraiser for Barack Obama during New York Fashion Week.
The two fashion doyennes have officially pledged their allegiance to Democratic nominee Senator Obama, deciding to share both their love of style and their love for the next potential US president.
Despite organisers misspelling Wintour's name on the party invitations – big no, no – the American Vogue editor has pulled her contact strings and rounded up an impressive line-up of designers to help front the event.
Donors attending the event will be treated to a catwalk show featuring designs by Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Proenza Schouler, Narciso Rodriguez and Marc Jacobs.
Guests will get a sneak preview of the clothes Diane Von Furstenberg and various other designers created especially in support of Obama. The clothes are set to go live on Obama's campaign website next month, so if you want a piece of the designer action, but can't afford the $10,000 benefit ticket, a DVF campaign T-shirt is the way forward.

I am so proud and honor to vote for Obama I think he's going to win the elections, and this country is going to go back on track!

Interesting new campaign battle grounds strangely initiated by McCain by him choosing a running mate based on looks and gender. But seriously, the dems have the best looking (most of hollywood) and the greatest talent in fashion and design in their corner. The catwalk is our territory and we can raise big $ and spotlight for Obama and Dems!
I say Rock The Vote, anyway you can with your Dem Party talent -Thanks Sarah and Anna!
