Marie Claire celebrity news: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham took to the streets of Manchester last night in a slinky satin catsuit.

Pioneered on the red carpet by Maggie Gyllenhaal earlier this summer at the London premiere of The Dark Knight, Posh's endorsement of the trend means it looks like it's here to stay.

A more grown-up version of this summer's playsuit, Posh's catsuit featured flared legs and a slashed neckline.

The occasion behind the fashion-forward sartorial choice? Just dinner with friends.

In town for the launch of her new perfume, Signature For Her, tonight at Harvey Nics, Posh told reporters: 'Manchester's just so fashion conscious. And there's great shopping.'

The body of this is too long for her and it doesn't particularly look like a catsuit. If you're featuring this as a trend that we are all going to follow lemming like, at least try to get a flattering picture. I for one wouldn't be seen dead in something so badly cut.
