Posh accused of 'bad business'

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham's dVb denim line has reportedly seen such poor sales in the States that a number of key retailers are expected to drop the range next season.

Fred Segal and Kitson are amongst the list of stores rumoured to stop buying the Spice Girl's label, with Kitson owner Fraser Ross speaking openly to the press about the range's disappointing performance.

In an interview with People, Ross blamed declining sales on Beckham's lack of promotional activity.

'She's not supporting the line' he told the magazine. 'It's not good for her brand and not good for her endorsements. In a tough economy, you need to be in partnership with the people that are selling your line to your fans. Victoria lives fifteen minutes from the store. That's just bad business.'

He was quick to retract his comments though, and released a statement today confirming that he would continue to stock dVb.

'The rumours are ridiculous - Kitson is extremely proud to be selling dVb by Victoria Beckham' his statement read. 'We are fully committed to the dVb collection and our customers and Victoria's fans ask for it daily. I've seen next season's collection and I can't wait to get it in-store, especially the new dVb men's collection launching in September.'
