Clooney will not do fashion line

George Clooney has denied that he will be launching his own fashion line, and is taking legal action against the Italian company that is attempting to trade on his name.



A small Italian fashion firm, GC Exclusive, claimed that is was collaborating with Clooney to launch a men's and women's fashion label.



The company even sent out a press release to announce the line, which claimed that it would be presented at a fashion show hosted by the actor, to take place on 20 April. The release contained fake quotes from Clooney, and the company even had his signature on a number of documents.



Now Clooney's representatives have reported the matter to the police, who are treating the case as fraud.



Lawyer Grazia Maria Mantelli, who is representing the actor, explained in an interview, 'These people have no limits in what they are trying to forge. Everything is an abuse of the name, image and everything.'
