Lily Cole new face at M&S

LILY COLE HAS signed up be the new face at Marks and Spencer. The 19-year old will be the exclusive model for the high street store's new high-end Limited range, and will star in adverts from January 2008. She posed today at the launch event, in a folksy print Limited dress.



Lily joins M&S's stable of big name models that includes Erin O'Connor, Twiggy, Laura Bailey and Lizzie Jagger. M&S marketing director Steve Sharp commented, 'We are thrilled that Lily has joined us as the face of Limited Collection. Her striking beauty goes without saying and her commitment to environmental issues makes for a great partnership with M&S.'



Lily has been praised for her environmental awareness after she has posed for a number of charities, and also refused to work with jewellers De Beers after they faced criticism for their diamond mining in Botswana.
