David Beckham turns underwear model for Armani

Marie Claire Celebrity News: David and Victoria Beckham's welcome to America party

DAVID BECKHAM HAS signed up to model the new Emporio Armani underwear collection, for the line's US launch in the new year. Though Armani's range of underwear has been available for a number of years in Europe, it will be sold for the first time in America from January 2008.

WWD have today reported that Beckham will shoot the campaign this week in LA, with prestigious fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The adverts will then appear in magazines around the world from January 2008 issues.

Though this is the first occassion that Beckham has modelled for Armani, it is not the first time that the pair have worked together. The designer created the wardrobe for the England football team in 2002, and has been a personal friend of the Beckham's ever since.
